Baby swollen red finger?

Has anyone come across this before? My 6 month old has a really swollen red pinky. It’s been like this since Tuesday. I had her at the doctors yesterday to have it checked out and the lovely GP had a look and thinks it’s just had a bump (Although I can’t think of when she could have hurt it)

It doesn’t seem to be bothering her and she’s gripping things fine but it looks a bit more swollen today. She doesn’t seem to be chewing her hands much so didn’t think it’s that.

Probably just being a paranoid FTM but thought I’d ask the wise mumsnetters in case they have had a similar experience.

Take a look very very VERY closely and check it doesn't have an almost invisible hair wound round it!

I’ve had a good look and I can’t see any hair.
