So after doing phonics all week with my 6 year old, watching the bloody videos & spelling etc. Now this morning he refuses to do them & won't even spell 'do'.
It's like he's learnt nothing all week. I even told the teacher the other day how impressed I was with his phonics skills & that he was finding the work too easy.

I've got really upset this morning. Now I feel bad for getting upset.

Sorry need to rant.
Tell me I'm not alone!!

You are not alone, yesterday was the worst homeschooling day ever. I have a 7 year old (year 2) and a very destructive 2 year old. Normally we send pictures of some work he has done across to school but yesterday the 2 year old had an epic meltdown and scribbled on his workbook so they were both in tears.

Today we are going to the KFC for popcorn chicken as we have watched 8 videos of the magic paintbrush on the Oak Academy and we can take no more.

Last week DD 8 completed the hardest maths set for the full week by Tuesday. Sent all her work in by Wednesday including English and she got the weekly award. 10 month old cooperated very well and we got lots done while he napped.
This week she done about 10 minutes of English, 5 minutes of maths, we baked some cakes, painted our nails, fed the ducks, watched lots of TV and sent no work to school. We’re having nandos for dinner 🤷‍♀️ I’m not worried.
