Younger toddler activities

Just looking for ideas of lockdown activities with younger toddlers, I know there’s some good threads on this already but they tend to aimed at 2.5+

DD is 18MO, I am lucky that she will play independently in the playroom for ages with her toys but looking for ideas of little activities to do.

I’ve had success with bringing outdoor toys in, colouring, painting with the Chinese parchment paper and water. I’ve bought a tuff tray but all I’ve done so far is throw some lentils and coloured rice in and a few containers which did go down well. So any ideas will be much appreciated!

Oh and of course we do have a puddle suit Grin

Pushing things through a hole in a box, kept mine entertained for so long at a similar age. Make some holes in a small cardboard box and they push something like dried pasta through it.
Have fun playing with shaving foam in the bath tub!
Make dens and tunnels and tents with sheets and furniture
Blow bubbles for her to pop
Play catch with a balloon or just bounce a balloon about.
Roll balls down ramps (we use some old guttering and wrapping paper tubes)
Roll balls back and forth
Make shapes and 3d ‘sculptures’ by clipping clothes pegs together
Make a drum kit out of upturned pot, pans and boxes
Pop bubble wrap
Hide small objects (we use clothes pegs) round the house and go hunting for them.
Make a washing line indoors and hang up anything you can find - pieces of paper, hats, gloves, empty cereal boxes!
Stack and unstack paper cups
Paint with toy car wheels.
Make shadows with a torch
Hand and foot printing
Cook up a big saucepan of porridge and let it go cold. Add some food colouring and it turns into a fantastic squelchy messy play activity, especially with little toys hidden! I do the same with custard and with mashed potato using a packet of instant smash! Polenta works well too, as does cooked couscous or cooked spaghetti.

5 minute mom book is great. Ds loved the coat hanger Teddy zip wire. Also the shaving foam idea he loved... We added food colouring to make a volcano (omg the mess be warned)
Decorating cakes or biscuits.
Big roll on a dolor to make a small ball run... Loved this until the heavy cars he shoves down it broke it.
Pegs... Loves a peg
He loves his play kitchen even in Feb outside!

Right I’ve bought some bath crazy foam and ordered 5minute mum on Amazon prime so we should be good to go tomorrow!
