10 month old had a bruise on her right upper thigh

Hi everyone, I hope someone tells me I'm being ridiculous. The thing is, I suffer with health anxiety with myself but since having my LG it seems to have subsided quite a lot. I still worry about my own health at times but when it comes to be LG I seemed to have been more relaxed, apart from the odd rash here and there which I have rang the GP about.

Anyway, tonight I was putting my LG to bed. I had bathed her and was moisturising her when I noticed a bruise on her right upper thigh, probably the size of a 10p piece. She's never bruised before despite her crawling and trying to walk. If this bruise was on her shin or her knee I wouldn't have thought twice about it but since it's in a place you would not expect a bruise, I am worrying.

She's otherwise fine. Eating great and sleeping great. She has been a bit grizzly the past few days which I've put down to her teething but now I'm concerned it's not because of that! I took her temp about 15 minutes ago too and it was 36.5.

Am I being silly and is it probably totally fine?

You're being silly and it's probably fine!

If you notice lots of bruises in unusal places, then maybe raise that with your HV, but a bruise kn the thigh of a baby who is just learning to be mobile is no cause for concern.

Absolutely nothing to worry about OP. You will see more and more bruises as they get more mobile. My DS is 11 months and pulling himself up (then falling over) on a regular basis. Your little one has probably just knocked herself on a toy.
Don’t even get me started on 3 year old DD’s legs! She looks like a footballer!

@Ohalrightthen @OllietheOwl thank you both! I know I probably sound like a lunatic but it was just the location of it that concerned me. I'm sure she's just fell over a toy or banged herself there with one of her maracasGrin. Both of your comments have been very reassuring x
