How to calm a red rash on face

Hi all. Sadly my dog got excited this
morning and as he spun around his tail whipped my 9month old's face. He got over it v quick but it has come up in rather red marks. Any tips on how to help the skin? Feel awful!

Is the skin broken at all? You could try applying a cool flannel, like a compress, if he'll let you.

Other than that I think I'd be trying a dose of ibruprofen.

We have all done things like this so don't feel too bad

Thank you no luckily the skin isn't broken. Redness starting to fade a bit phew!
