Hi ladies, my premmie has been home 2 weeks. He's 3 months his due date is next week. He just Grunts and moans in his sleep and huffs and puffs with every little noise even without noise actually anybody else had this experience? And what did you do.

It does sound pretty normal OP but mine were Premmie.

There is a Premature Birth section on MN if you want to check with some other MNers who have had Premmies.

Congratulations on getting him home too Thanks

@Newbee123 mine wasn't premature, he was full term and he is so noisy at night its ridiculous, my husband says its like sleeping in a zoo 😂 so I think its just normal haha you get used to their normal noises. Mines 10 weeks now 🙂

Mine is premature, due date this week and all he does is grunt and groan and make noises none stop. I was quite worried at first but health visitor reassured me he was fine. Can be hard getting to sleep with his noises but I am getting used to them now so it's getting easier x

As I typed that, every little movement he did required and extremely loud grunt or moan 😄

Most newborns/infants sound like small woodland creatures at some point when they sleep.

Mine wasn’t premature but he makes an inordinate amount of noise in his sleep - snuffling, grunting, groaning, squawking. I believe it’s normal and they grow out of it, but not sure if the advice is different for preemies.

I use earplugs, or sleep in the spare room when I’m on my knees.
