Play for 8 year old boy

Has anyone got any play suggestions for an 8 year old boy who refuses to pay with figures/lego/gravitrax/anything building/hates crafts. He is an active kid outdoors but indoors all he wants to do is go on tech, which is fine but he does need to play sometimes but we cannot find anything he’ll do on his own. All I’ve found that he likes is his remote control car or those discovery fossil digging things but he does them in ten minutes!

Can you get him outside safely? Something like a basketball hoop or a football net or trampoline in the garden might work if you have outside space available.

Ds is 9 now but he's liked these for a while
Stop motion animation
Nerf guns/making targets.
Trampoline - we have a small indoor one thats been a lifesaver in lockdown on wet days. Both DC will spend ages on it, sometimes whilst listening to music and/or watching a film

Also shrinkie plastic. He will watch the art4kids hub videos on YouTube or trace something out of his comics (weekly Phoenix comic has also been a great buy)

Omg are you talking about my son?? Watching with interest - indoor trampoline sounds like a particularly great idea in current circumstances!
