8 month old waking in the night

Hi! In need of any help/advice/tips before I spend my bucks on sleeping professionals which I really don't want to do!

My little one just turned 8 months so we have been on solids for a couple months now. Ever since we have started solids it seems his night time sleeping has crumbled! He was sleeping 9 hour blocks, but now we have something different every night.

We have always been in a routine (which he fell into himself). Bath bottle and bed by 6:30. He only has a small bottle now ( 100ml-140ml) and tends to wake up an hour or two later crying for another bottle ( another 100-140ml). I have tried earlier dinners and smaller portions of dinner to try get him to have a bigger milk intake before bed, but nothing seems to be working. I even tried no dinner one night and he ended up taking a good 240ml, but again woke up a couple hours later for another bottle. After this feed he will usually sleep through till 4ish which isn't too bad! Just confused as to why he isn't taking a big bottle anymore before bedtime and waking up again so soon after hungry! Need that 9 hour block back!!

Thank you!

I’m sorry to say it sounds normal.

At 8 months this does sound like normal sleep to me to be honest OP, as the PP said.

Most babies do need sone milk over night. Once he's reached one, you can think about dropping the night time bottles but for now the current advice is that they need them.
