Hey,

Has anyone experienced the same please ? My LG is feeding only half the amount wont take more. Had her jabs yesterday. Shed pooing very mucousy stools. She seems fine and happy in herself. Should I be worried? I'm freaking out after reading up on a rare disease that the rotavirus vaccine can cause to the bowels called intussusception. Shes still having wet nappies as normal. How long should I give it before consulting a dr? FTM and worrying x

If you are concerned then call your surgery but I was told that being a bit off colour and having loose stools after the vaccine was a side effect that we might see. Intussusception poo looks like redcurrant jelly.

Sounds normal to me. Have you looked up the normal side effects of the vaccines? The nurse should have told you but I know I found it difficult to concentrate on that and baby at the same time.

My dd had oral vaccine on Tuesday and has in last few days had mucus type poo and it coming straight out after a feed. Today and yesterday been very irritable and crying out of nowhere must be this vaccine as was fine beforehand. No fever and otherwise does seem ok in herself. Would say also sleeping more and a little drowsy. But so much development change going on as well it’s hard to know. Do think has an upset stomach. In terms of the vaccine nurse said can have diahreah but not how long it lasts for and when it comes on. Going to call gp if hasn’t cleared up on Monday.

@Tea4me23 did you end up going to the GP? My baby has the same side effects and I’m wondering how long it took to resolve. Thanks
