Xbox/Phone use

Hi all, hope you're OK. I have a 14 year old and need some advice on Xbox use. I hear some say you should limit it and some say you should let them self regulate at that age. Currently I say all tech should be off by 10pm on school days with phone, xbox controller and TV remote in kitchen so not tempted to use after this time then reading. He does regular exercise and eats well etc. Weekends I'm more relaxed. I do not allow (well once in a blue moon) major long sessions on it and on school nights 2/3 hours max. My son also has to have a regular time when he has no tech during the day at weekends so his mind gets chance to detox off the tech. I am worried I am over parenting. My parents gave me no such boundaries but i had no interest in tech and phones were not around then. Any suggestions welcome.

Firstly, I'd ask @MNHQ to move this over to the Teenage Section as you're bound to get a few more replies.

Personally I don't think that you are over parenting at all, he's 14 and needs to understand that there are other things to do and he also needs his sleep!
