My newborn has developed a new scream

He is almost 8 weeks (4 weeks corrected as he arrived at 36+1).

It's high pitched and angry, only what I could imagine a velociraptor sounds like. It will drop birds from the sky and make water reverse its current.

If this is affecting your area I'm so sorry! He probably has a decent sound range of his new found power (we're in Essex).

Poor little thing! Are you sure there's nothing wrong?

This I think was more a "food now" scream

However he has bad reflux so he's on anti reflux formula but it could be a milk allergy.

We've got prescribed a milk free formula to try but none of the pharmacies have it in stock and will only get it in around Tuesday so until then we'll persevere with the anti reflux one. Poor guy.

This sounds just like my son! He also has reflux, but this baby-dinosaur scream usually means ‘I have never been fed in my life, I am an abused and neglected child, I know not the sweet taste of milky succour, feed me THIS INSTANT’

Ahhhhhh i remember this well, the scream designed to let everyone in the county know that poor DD had a criminally neglectful mother who deliberately starved her and cared nothing for her woes...

Exactly this!! "How dare you not have food ready this instant!! I will inform the neighbours with my shrill screams!!"

Doesn't help that you need to wait at least 5 mins for the anti reflux formula to thicken - don't they know hungry baby demands?! Don't they like ears?
