I am worrying over a black spot or mark on my baby's gum at the top of the mouth on the side of her mouth. Baby turned 5 months yesterday & is teething.
Of course I've googled it, hoping to see that's it a sign of teething but I can't. All it really says is rush babies normally teeth at bottom first but this is top gum.. anyone know if this is normal? 🙏🏻

It sounds like a blood blister caused by a tooth coming through, you'll most likely see a tooth cut in the next few days.

Have you made sure it isn't a bit of dirt or fluff from something she's put in her mouth? I panicked over a funny mark on DD's tongue that turned out to be a bit of jumper fluff from where she'd been gumming on my shoulder.

I was just going to say blood blister too. My kids got them when teething.
