Hi all,

I’m not sure if this is the best place for this thread so apologies if not.

I’m not particularly worried about my daughter as she is growing albeit slowly. HV is involved and also not particularly concerned. She is just under the 2nd percentile.

I was just wondering if any of you had babies on the smaller side? My DD is coming up to 4 months old and is only just wearing some 0-3 month clothing (some of this is still too big so she’s in newborn in some things).
I see lots of posts about babies outgrowing things very quickly but not so much the other way round!

Thank you x

My DS has always been a bit smaller than average, he's 2.4 now and in 18-24 or just going into 2-3. He was 2 weeks early and weighed 6lb 14oz at birth and neither me or his Dad are very tall so I think he's just never going to be particularly large

If she was prem I really wouldn’t worry OP x

Have I missed something? O/p hasn’t said her baby was premature?

@Sway19 - no she wasn’t prem, she was born just shy of 39 weeks.
She’s formula fed but does suffer with silent reflux. She is due to be weighed again on Wednesday so I’m hoping she is still following her curve

DD2 was always on the small side, despite being a healthy 7lb11oz at birth.

She was still in her infant carrier at age 2 & wearing age 6-9 months clothes.

At 5 she was in age 2-3 clothes & size 6 shoes.

Even now at 19 she wears age 13/14 clothes & is routinely mistaken for being under 16 - she's 4ft10in & weighs 7st.

We still get comments about her size from family & friends but we've long accepted she'll always be petite... no idea where she gets it from certainly not me Grin
