I know it was ages ago and you probably won't remember, but when doing the god awful structured questions assignement, and in particular the bit on cell respiration, how much detail did you go into ??

I am doing the bit on the Krebs Cycle and there are 8 stages in it, all of which read like complete gobbledigook and which we haven't really gone into in class. Can I just name the stages, perhpas stick a diagram of it in and then just explain what the end result is ??

If I explain each stage, i'll have to directly quote each bit as there is no way I can put it inot my own words.

Do you think I can just write 'sorry, don't get this bit', and they will still give me a mark

Nutty,
I did this part of the access course, and had a very similar assignment (by the sounds of it!).

Obviously, ever tutor and college requires different points to be made, but out tutor asked us to reference everything, as we had the initial information from somewhere ifswim.

We had to go into a lot of information for it as well.

Does that help?

nutcracker · 26/10/2007 17:38

Yes it does, thanks, I am just so worried I am doing the whole thing wrong.

I do a bit and then i'll read something else and think, oh shit i'm not sure about that bit now.

I think I need to stop reading about stuff after I have completed a section, as it's driving me nuts.

I included the 8 stages in the end, but only put a very very brief description and then a totally copied but referenced diagram.

Thats all that I did- most people didnt even include Krebs cycle in their assignment- just did a brief para about cell resp.

what you did sounds fine.

Ahh right I see, we have to include the Krebs cycle, along with the Glycolosis (sp?) and the electron transport chain.

I didn't think any of that was in there last time I did it, now I know why I am finding that bit hard LOL.

Am on the section about the skeleton now which I at least find interesting so no as hard.

Am thinking it might take me about 100 years to type up with al of what I have so far LOL.

So can't wait until I have finnished it.
