Bonjella teething gel

Hi my little girl has just turned 5 months old and has just had her first tooth come through..
I went out and bought her the bonjella teething gel to help with the teething pain but when I got home I noticed it says on the tube for use from 6months🙄 but upon further investigation 😂 it states on the website 'from 6 months when most babies start teething' or something similar.. So is that basically saying it can be used at any age from when baby starts teething or must it be from 6 months 🙈 iv emailed the company - waiting to hear back and also rang my local pharmacy to which they had no answers.. Basically I'm just wondering if anyone's used it under 6 months and their child has been fine? Or not?

Thanks in advance.. Sorry for the long post

It's fine. The company needs to cover their back

My kids actually had the medicated gel as well (both started teething at 4months). They were terrible teethers.... good luck!

It will be fine, just not licenced for under 6 months. When my baby had thrush in her mouth she was prescribed a gel treatment that said from 6 months. The pharmacist told me that it's because the gel is so dense it can be a choking hazard but as long as it's well rubbed in it's fine.

Can I recommend the teething granules, I swore by them when mine were teething and you can use them at the same time as calpol and bongela

Ah thank you both 😁 I'm sure when my little boy (now 7) was a baby the bonjella stated from 3 months so just grabbed it without even thinking 😊 yes I saw the granules as well and was debating which one to get.. The gel seemed the easier option👀😂🙈 I'll go back tomorrow and get those too. Thank you for the recommendation 😊

Blush i know most people don't like this but things can get desperate for some. DDs were relentless, inconsolable.... so I used to give them half dose of paracetamol sometimes before bed or if they were suffering a lot.

DD1 was crying/humming for over 3 hours straight the day her first tooth came Confused I went insane! And yes, it was the first time I gave her paracetamol

A quick look online tells me you can still get it in some places. But instead of bonjella we only ever used Calgel teething gel (part of the calpol range). There's 2 options, 1 that says from 3 months plus that is in a light blue box. And 1 that says from 5 months plus that is in a pink box. It's the only thing that ever worked for our son.
