Help me fill my calendar

Obviously not for right now but I want to cheer myself up by coming up with a list of fantastic family day outs. What has been your most favourite day out with your children/activity that you loved doing?

At the risk of sounding a bit twee, I actually think the best days out are the low key ones.
My dc are all adults now, and when they say "Do you remember when......" it is almost always a local picnic or a day on a Welsh beach.

I sometimes think the 'expectation' of a big expensive day out almost inevitably leaves some disappointment. Whereas sometimes the spontaneity of a trip to feed the ducks or bus trip into the City Centre often brings happy memories.
