Hi has anyone ever weaned there babies at 4 months. We have been given some cow and gate cauliflower cheese and aptimil baby rice that can be given to them from.4 months.

Has anyone ever done this or should I wait until he is 6 months.

I wouldn't bother, just making extra work for yourself!

Sometimes this can be done under the advice of a paediatrician (poor weight gain, reflux etc) but otherwise I don't know why you would. At 6 months they'll be more able to feed themselves, sit properly in a high chair etc. There is also a lot of evidence that suggests weaning at 6m+ is beneficial for their gut health, allergies (or lack of) later in life

I second what BridgeFarmKefir says. Unless there is a specific reason I would wait to wean until 6 months old. I would personally start with something simpler than cauliflower cheese so that you can rule out potential allergies.

I would only do it under the guidance of a paediatrician or a paediatric dietitian.
