What (and how much) does your 12 month old drink?

Starting to worry a little bit about my DD's fluid intake. She'll be 1 in a couple of weeks. She hasn't taken well to water at all, despite trying many different things. She has 1-2oz a day. She is bottle fed and always loved her milk, I could never seem to give her enough! But over the last month she has been less and less interested. Her intake now varies from 12 to 20oz per day but usually towards the lower end. I now have to feed her like a newborn again or she will just throw the bottle or start playing with it. She just doesn't seem to want to drink!

So really what I want to know is, how much do I need to (somehow) make sure she gets? Any advice on how to encourage her would also be appreciated.

Maybe try things like grapes, watery fruit? Fennel tea works well for us (but then my baby drinks the bathtub water as well so not really in your situation).

You can try to water down the milk so it's more watery, but I would not descend down any "sweet" route.

If she is on par with wet/dirty nappies, I'd not stress myself too much. We have a 14mo that has ca 17oz of milk a day in three bottles and about 9 oz of water/tea (in the munchkin 360 cup, or the bathtub really).

I couldn’t tell you, to be honest. I keep a sippy cup of water around and she enthusiastically drinks from that, but I don’t measure it. She wouldn’t usually drink more than half a beaker full in a morning. Other than that she is still bf, so no idea how much that is!

At nursery she has started having full fat cows milk, have you tried that?
