I have a 4 year old son and a one month old daughter. Since having my daughter I’ve really seen my sons attitude change. He’s now telling me to ‘shut up’ ‘go away’ ‘he doesn’t like me’ I’m finding it really difficult. He doesn’t listen to anything I say. I’m trying to split my attention between both but finding it really hard. Any tips?

I went through this too (similar age gap). He will be struggling with the loss of attention from you. I tried to give hugs when I could, and put baby in the sling a lot so I had hands free and could focus on him. I found things improved when she could move independently and got more interesting for him.

I have not thought about purchasing a sling that’s a brilliant idea around the house so I can be more hands free as struggling to divide attention. Thank you for advice

My children have a shorter age gap but I think it's very normal. My son certainly got more bolshy and borderline aggressive when his sister arrived, but after a couple of months he got used to the new status quo and his behaviour improved. Be warned - it got worse again when she started crawling and trying to play with all 'his' toys! Currently riding that wave but it's already been better since Christmas now she has lots of new things of her own.
