Just wondering if anyone else has had this experience and if so, what did you do about it?

My DS is 6 weeks old and ff. we started him on normal aptamil from birth then at 4 weeks old we changed him to comfort because we through he had colic but it gave him slimy green poo so switched back to the normal formula but on that he is in pain all the time with gas and chronic farting, he also gags a lot and has breathing issues. The doctor thinks he has reflux so give him gavisgon but it did nothi g but give him constipation. We switched to anti reflux and stopped the gavisgon yesterday. He seems to have taken to it really well and he’s been happy today. His still got reflux but it’s nit as bad. However, he has had 4 very explosive watery bright yellow poos today which is not normal. I would like to keep him on this milk as it does seem to help but can’t cope with he aftermath!!
If anyone else has come by this then what did you do to stop this or did you LO stomach get used to it?

Hey, I also am having this exact issue atm with my DS who is 6 weeks, he has one normal one a day and then one or too wetter ones since being on aptamil anti reflux.
What was your outcome? @DanniCL

I’m so sorry you have this problem with your LO @Edeben8 It was awful for my DS. He had started to lose weight and was very unsettled and unhappy.
He has since been diagnosed with CMPA and changed his formula to Aptamil Pepti 1. Although there’s been a huge improvement, he still has painful gas at night and has explosive nappies but fortunately more formed poos and only one a day so going up a nappy size has helped.
All of the other symptoms relating to his silent reflux have also gone.
His due his one month review at the hospital next week so hopefully they will keep him on it.
I really hope your LO can find a way through.
