Transferring toddler from cot to single bed tips

Hi all. DD is 21 months and normally in a sleeping bag in a cot, but is very tall and heavy and is close to the height and weight limit for her cot, so needs to move to a bed.

We've gotten her a single bed with bed guards, which she'll be sleeping in for the first time tonight. We let her pick her own duvet and pillowcase sets ect, showed her the bed and let her sit and play on it and told her it was her big girl bed, and she seems to like it and is very excited, but obviously it may be a different story tonight!

Any tips for the transition? How did it go for you? I'm worried we'll be up and down all night 😂

Thank you Smile

My first night I think I returned my son about 100 times over 2 hours. He now goes straight to sleep. Good luck!

Is there a gate on their bedroom door?

Baby gate on room so she can't escape!

Fingers crossed it goes well for you.

Yup, a stairgate has been put up in preparation for escape attempts! Grin
