Ideas to move baby’s sleeping schedule forward?

So my little boy started sleeping at around 7-9pm, wake at 7am when he was about 4 months. he’s now at 7 months at refuses to sleep until 11-12am! and waking about 10am. i’m going back to work full time in 3 months time. obviously this isn’t a good sleeping schedule for when it comes to this. i’d really love to him to go down at around 6-7am.
Currently he has 3 bottles a day + 3 meals a day. by the time he has his last meal is around 9pm, he just seems to be pushing his bottles later and later.
As of tomorrow i’m going to try waking him a little earlier in hopes bringing his morning bottle earlier will bring the rest earlier and hopefully his bedtime too! but by any chance if this doesn’t work, does anyone else have any suggestions?!

I think waking him up 15 minutes earlier is a good plan. Could you do 15 minutes, say 9.45 and leave it like that for 3 days then try 9.30 am for 3 days and keep moving it forward like that?

Start waking him at 7am and move all his bottles and meals forward so he has tea at 5-6 and is into bed for 7.30pm.

I'd wake at 9 and do everything an hour earlier for a few days. Then 8.30 for a few days then 8 until you get to where you want to be. Good luck!

How are you getting on now @grcxo? What did you decide to do?

grcxo · 02/01/2021 13:50

so i woke him up yesterday 15-20 minutes earlier and start building it that way, i did also cut an afternoon nap of his a little shorter yesterday, last night he went down at 9:45pm. i couldn’t believe it and woke himself up this morning at 8:30am !

i must add however. he is very groggy today. but not sure if that’s his teething or the fact he had less sleep last night than usual
