Baby's first cold

6 month old has his first cold, looking for advice for those with experience! Main issue is a runny/snuffly nose and understandably just not quite himself. No temperature and still feeding fine.

Are we best staying cosy inside today with lots of cuddles or would he benefit from being wrapped up warm and getting some fresh air in the pram?

Also I'm conscious of making him sore around his nose where it's running, been dabbing with a muslin, is this okay?

Any other top tips welcome! I know it's something I've got to get used to (especially when he starts nursery!) but it's breaking my heart bless him!

If he's really bunged up, Sterimar spray can help him to breathe. Vicks vapour rub do a baby version (don't use the normal 'adult' one on babies).
Fresh air is fine. Muslins might be a bit abrasive for nose wiping - I'd use a tissue.

Vicks do plug ins which we always used at bedtime.
