Anyone else feeling a bit MEH 😑

Currently in Tier 4 with two amazing DC’s and DH. Got all the Xmas shopping done before eldest finished school and tree went up about about two weeks ago.
Wrapping is complete and kids are both fast asleep - so why do I feel so meh and have no excitement for Xmas.

I think for me, it's down to being stuck at home.. other years I'd be out at work, the shops, sports etc and people are buzzing which helps to get into the festive spirit. This year I've been at home nearly all day every day with very little interaction with other adults.

Kids are in bed and the presents are out ready for the kids, but I still cant believe its xmas in just a few hours.

I think your first paragraph sums it up perfectly. It explains exactly what it’s been like. Stuck at home, I would usually be seeing friends, going to different baby groups/swimming etc and gym twice a week. DH would be at work in the week so it’s nice to have him for for a while over Xmas but there just isn’t that buzz.

Without extended family around its just another day, but with more food and toys. Lots to remember and high expectations from the children that I'm worried will not be met.

I feel completely meh. An amazing DH and DC's. But I feel really emotional and nostalgic for christmases gone past. For me, it's not seeing the extended family that's doing it.

Although I'm an emotional wreck at Christmas time anyway.

Same - I usually love a Christmas but really not in the mood this year. Was a chore to wrap presents and I'm just not feeling it.

I haven't been able to buoy up myself and haven't been able to buoy up my child I'm worried I've ruined it, not made it good enough and she won't believe next year
I'm so fucking fed up of it all
