Four month old with Covid?

Myself and my baby came into contact with someone who tested positive for Covid last Friday.
My baby has started coughing and I’m absolutely terrified. I’m about to book her a test for tomorrow but in the meantime looking online I can’t find anyone who baby under 1 has had it. Has anyone been in the same position? What should I look out for?

My little guy developed a cough and I was sure he had COVID, marched down to the hospital to only be told it was a cold...
Obviously seek medical attention, but have you checked his temperature?

PollyPocket245 · 24/12/2020 21:59

@Pinkchicken85 her temperature is normal and she has seemed herself but know things could change. Did they test your little one at hospital? X

No they didn’t, they just checked his temperature and felt his glands. They tried to use a stethoscope to hear his lungs, but he cried the entire time (he doesn’t like doctors 🤷🏻‍♀️). They told me his cough was caused by his runny nose. Babies get colds. In fact I went again back to the doctor the follow week, as he had gotten better then acquired a new cough,I was told exactly the same thing. I’ve lost count of the colds he’s had since he started going to his child minder!
I hope it’s similar with your baby, keep me updated. Best of luck 🤞

How is baby now Polly?

PollyPocket245 · 25/12/2020 09:01

@JingleJohnsJulie not wanting to jinx it but she seems fine... I stayed up checking her temperature and keeping an eye on her. She’s a little bunged up but other than that 🤞🏻!! X

@Pinkchicken85 thank you, maybe I just jumped to the worst conclusion because we had contact with someone but I could us very lucky if we are ok! X
