Please share with me your arrangements for children to see both parents at Christmas in situations where you have young teenagers and have not been a couple since the children were little.

Mine alternate each year, swapping to the other parent around 10am on Boxing day.
The specifics depend on how Christmas falls in the school holidays, but the time is split 50/50.
This year with me from end of school to Boxing day morning, then with their dad for the next week.

Thank you, hoping to get an idea of what seems to be the norm with teenagers before assuming what might seem reasonable.

50/50 for the holidays, one week with one, second week with the other, swap Christmas day each year.

Haha, my ex hasn't ever seen (nor requested to see) the kids since we split, 11 years ago.

Kids have refused any discussion about visiting this year, utter shit show.

In an ideal world, and going on what seems to be working for friends in similar circumstances with tweens/teens is stick to same sort of pattern as previous years but with flexibility regarding kids wishes.

Most tend to swap afternoon on Xmas day, it's what I did as a kid and it's been what we do into my adulthood - gonna be wierd not driving anywhere on Christmas day this year!
