Toilet training, take 2

Tried a few months ago but she just wasnt ready and neither was I.

She is now 3 and I've started again. I've left her in just underpants and have been taking her every hour or so. She has so far weed once in the toilet today and wet herself twice but not said anything. I keep reminding her to tell me if she needs to go.

Just need a bit of guidance on it, am I doing it right? I tried the pull up but she just does it like a nappy. Im dreading the poo in the pants, i know it's coming, she hasn't done one today. I'm thinking whether I should put the underpants on first and then the pull ups, to limit the mess but also allow the feeling of the wetness when she has an accident, I'm already sick of cleaning and bleaching everything when she's weed.

Are there any tips you could share that'll help me during this.
Thank you

No pants or trousers, lots of fluid, sit her on the loo every 30 minutes

We did the "oh crap" method and it was great for us, all done in a couple of days. Bare bottom, watch like a hawk for any signs of needing the toilet, on potty/toilet very regularly and stay in for a few days until she's started to get the hang of it. We only used nappies/pull ups for naps and nighttime once we started.

I found a plastic backed picnic blanket was great for putting on the floor/sofa as a protector to save the furnishings.

I found that putting them on the toilet just doesn't work.

Take underwear off. I've learned with DD1 that because of the diaper if they feel underwear/training pants/wtv they just go toilet in them. DD1 actually asked me to put on diaper so she could pee on it!!! Grin

I did my DDs toilet training in good weather though. Got a few summer dresses from the supermarket so at least they're a bit covered

Definitely oh crap method. Naked from the waist down for at least 3 days and watch her like a hawk. As soon as she starts to wee pick her up and put her on the potty and say you wee in the potty now. Make sure she is drinking lots, I would offer juice to encourage this but not blackcurrent juice.

Multiple potties if you have a larger home. Fewer accidents

Never used pull ups. Put on loo frequently and at the first sign of needing to go.

As soon as a one dry night in a nappy, take it off and they should be dry through the night.

But lots of cheap pants. And throw poopy ones away. Life is tooooooo short.
