Nappy rash

Hi everyone,

My DS is 1 and has really bad nappy rash. I think he's teething (actually i'm sure hes teething) as hes not been eating properly and his cheeks are red. I bathed him tonight and my poor baby has such bad nappy rash. Hes red from front to back. I applied a thick layer of sudocrem before bed but was wondering whether i should change his nappy during the night? I usually only change his nappies before bed and then in the morning when he wakes up.

No use to you for tonight but yellow Metanium is the absolute best thing for nappy rash.

Second metanium and when it’s dried up use Bepanthen at every change, magic stuff. I changed nappies in the night when feeding anyway but probably wouldn’t wake to change otherwise.

With bad nappy rash I definitely would check on it a few times over the night. He might let you know himself too if it stings him.

Another shout out for metanium, sudocrem doesn't cut it. And yes, frequent nappy changes and nappy off time in the morning if you can.

I know I’m in the minority, but my baby actually does better with Sudocrem than Metanium. I find it easier to blend into his skin and it seemed to get rid of the redness quicker.

Also I wouldn’t apply a thick layer of sudocrem- it’s supposed to go on really thinly so you can still see the skin otherwise it’ll just make it worse
