Do you ever feel good enough?

Just that really I find myself focusing on things that haven't gone as I wanted that day and questioning myself if I did the right thing.

I mean... occasionally? Every once in a while DD3 will go help someone who has dropped something or comfort another child and I think yes, doing something right. The rest of the time, no. But that’s ok. You may find your standards of “good enough” are too high.

Nope. Never.

I know this sounds a bit odd but when I put DD (3 years) to bed I always give her a bit of praise about the day or recap on something that was good, something along the lines of “you were so clever doing your painting” or “we had so much fun feeding the ducks and you listened to mummy really well”. I’ve noticed that it also helps me feel like even in the most difficult of days there was something that went well.

I do the same @user1493413286, i always tell him how well he has done that day.

We always focus on being kind, if he's kind I think we are winning.

Hello. I know that feeling. Why are you thinking about it? You can't always be perfect, but you do your best. Be attentive to your child, but don't forget about yourself.
