Hi guys,

DS is just under 1 month old. Today I had a Reeses peanut butter cup and after wards I kissed his forehead. Will this cause a reaction and is there anything I need to look out for or be worried about?

DH and I do not have peanut allergy.

If you've no reason to expect an allergy he'll be fine. You can't worry about everything you eat.
New babies are worrying, but if you panic about every little thing like this it's worth mentioning to your health visitor. Post natal anxiety can be deliberating Flowers

It is safe to eat peanuts in pregnancy, to eat them while you are breastfeeding and to eat nuts around babies of any age. The only time this advice might differ is if there was a history of nut allergies in the family. There isn’t so you’re fine.

I agree that talking to your HV or GP might be a good idea. Postnatal anxiety can be difficult. I suffered in silence with DD1 and in retrospect, I really wish I had asked for help.
