How many mg daily should I take to help increase milk supply? Capsules I have are 1500mg and it says to take two daily but I read somewhere that anything below 3500mg daily has no affect, should I take 3 a day?

I didn’t think there was any evidence that they work?

The only things that work is to keep putting the baby on the boob and there is medication you can get from the GP if you can get them to prescribe it.

Why do you think your not producing enough milk?

No idea on the fenugreek door but if you think you have a low supply, this article from Kellymom should help Smile

Eating fresh fenugreek (it’s called methi in Indian shops) or tea made from steeped fenugreek seeds (boil in water for 3 hours then steep all day and take a tbsp everyday) is an ancient ayurvedic remedy to increase milk supply. But it can be harsh on the stomach so is eaten with fat in what is effectively an Indian lactation cookie. If you’re near an Indian / Gujarati sweetmart ask for ‘katlu’ or ‘methi pak’.

There’s no evidence that the pills work and I wouldn’t trust them while breastfeeding as you can’t trust ingrediants are 100% as it’s all unregulated.
