Toddlers height and weight. What is your experience?

Hi! Our nearly 17m old is on the 85th percentile for weight & just under the 50th for height. She used to be on the 99.6th centile for weight but now she's walking, she seems to be dropping. I have no concerns at all with either but my question is - did your child ever have a massive growth spurt in height and at what age? I am 5.10 & the dad is 6.1 so I am just wondering if she will be tall like us. Again, I know it doesn't matter but I am just intrigued.

Children are normally half their adult height on their 2nd birthday?

I’ve also heard that if you measure them when they’re 2 they’ll be double that height as an adult

My 18 month old is 50th on weight and 90th on height... she's tall! Her dads 6'5 & I'm 5'7 though! Xx

Was she long as a newborn? If not then her weight might drop to her height.

I can't remember Hmm I know she was average weight - just short of 8lbs, didn't lose any but put on very quickly. I don't remember anyone saying she was long. Her weight since she was around 4 weeks has always been high on the percentile. My partner has short legs so maybe she has those!

I HAVE BEEN MEASURING HER INCORRECTLY!

It says make sure you do length and not height. She is 85th for both!
