Where do you live and what are the good and bad points? For a young family

Me and my family are relocating next year to Cheshire to be closer to family, although none of our family are from Cheshire are we don’t know the county at all.

Trying to narrow it down to areas we like so we can start looking is really difficult as we don’t know where to start. So hoping people have recommendations if you live there

Farndon, Malpas, Tarporley, Christleton are all lovely areas near Chester.

Which part of Cheshire are you heading to, East or West Cheshire?

Yep, whereabouts in Cheshire, it's quite a big and varied area....

Any area will have good and bad points and it depends where you're moving from

We live near river and canal, amazing for dog walks. But at the bottom of a steep hill to the village (playground, nursery, DS friends, school next year)
House prices here are relatively low but some areas e.g. Knutsford, Chester itself, some of the more 'pretty' villages, are pricy.

This is the thing, we are open to anywhere. Just went somewhere nice and not the triangle knutsford etc as we want more for our money.

I was looking at sandbach, Holmes chapel but purely based on schools but don’t want to rule out anywhere.

Want somewhere not too busy but with a high street and something to it, countryside on the doorstep and decent schools. We work from home so commuting into the cities isn’t a massive deal

You get a lot for your money in and around Northwich......
Anderton Boat lift, Marbury Park, plenty of schools.

High street has some good indie shops still
