Baby suddenly off balance

DS will be 9 months this week and has always been very active. For context: he sat unaided at 4 months, crawled at 6 months and has been pulling up to stand and cruising the furniture since 7 months.
However today he seemed really off balance and wobbly. He kept crawling but it’s like one of his arms would just give way and he collapsed on his face a number of times. He then was sitting up and a few times toppled backwards out of no where, like when they are first learning to sit. Also when he was trying to pull himself to stand it’s like he was misjudging things and would miss what ever he was trying to use to stand and just face plant it - landing on his tummy/face. Is this normal if he was maybe super tired or coming down with something?

DS started doing this too a couple of days ago - he’s 12 months. I have got a HV to come round for an urgent visit. Would love an answer though.

He could have an ear infection

It could be him just testing himself - along with maybe a bit of tiredness.

When my boy was learning to walk and cruise, he went through a period of days where he would do some horrible face plants despite being more than competent at pulling himself about and crawling.

I’d give it a few days and see if he is still doing the same thing before I’d worry ☺️
