Baby TV (no judgement please)

So I have a 4 month old who has started getting very busy, so much so that one day I tried some baby TV to help settle her whilst I did some housework.
I popped the TV on and put the first kids thing that came up on Prime - Bing.

Why, oh why, oh why did it have to be Bing.
He is a whiny little prick and I have so much pent up anger towards him and the knitted ballsack of a father/carer/social worker.

So here’s my dilemma...DD LOVES bing. Like she is obsessed.
My question is what are the good kids tv programs? Which ones can I gently move her into and away from the annoying bellend black rabbit.

Thanks 🤣

learning songs on Netflix is good; as is the Pink fong channel on Amazon Prime. I don’t use YouTube or channels with ads so not sure what else would be good.

GrumpyHoonMain · 12/12/2020 18:17

Oh Mighty Bheem on Netflix is really good

At 4 months old if I needed to use the TV I would put her infront of news readers.

When she is older Hey Duggee is amazing.

CountryGirl36 · 12/12/2020 18:19

@MumUndone is that on Prime/Netflix?

Thanks @GrumpyHoonMain I’ll take a look!

Both on Netflix or YouTube

sittingonacornflake · 12/12/2020 18:24

At 4 months I'd probably use the fireplace app on the tv Grin

bananamonkey · 12/12/2020 18:26

At 4 months the Hey Bear baby sensory videos on YouTube

bananamonkey · 12/12/2020 18:26

My firstborn loved the Hairy Bikers 🤷🏻‍♀️

mynameiscalypso · 12/12/2020 18:29

Hey Duggee is the absolute best show by a long way. It's on Netflix. That said, when DS was a baby, he was just stuck with whatever I wanted. Tiger King was a particularly hit. They just like the noise and movement really so I figured it didn't matter what it was.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 12/12/2020 18:30

Cocomelon is my 11 months olds favourite. It's basically songs, bright colours, fun characters. It's on Netflix and YouTube

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 12/12/2020 18:31

She also likes moana

becca3210 · 12/12/2020 18:32

Hey bear baby sensory on YouTube- another vote

Lazypuppy · 12/12/2020 18:33

staydazzling · 12/12/2020 18:37

Baby TV,? its tailored for very young babies x

Ohalrightthen · 12/12/2020 18:40

DD watched a lot of Bake-Off reruns at that age.

AurorasGingerbreadHouse · 12/12/2020 18:41

Baby bum, Cocomelon, Loo Loo kids and Pink Fong here too!

I find things like Tellytubbies and In the Night Garden I can tune out of.

Disney movies

AurorasGingerbreadHouse · 12/12/2020 18:42

We used to do the baby club on CBeebies sometimes, which was nice to join in with and be a bit more involved.

Sexnotgender · 12/12/2020 18:43

Check out the wiggles on Netflix, it’s excellent.

RebeccaCloud9 · 12/12/2020 18:44

I found some classical music made for babies with black and white patterns floating around. It's designed for babies' development but also sounds nice (and a gazillion times better than God awful Bing!)

drowsy · 12/12/2020 18:44

Baby Club on BBC is good at that age. Jojo and GranGran also on iPlayer is great too, also Hey Duggee and Kiri and Lou.

SleepingStandingUp · 12/12/2020 18:45

Well of course my children won't even SEE a television until they're 12 and at 1 they're far too busy learning basic arithmetic for such nonsense but IF they happened to catch a glimpse of one, they would say Timmy Time in CBeebies. He's Shaun's nephew.
Also, rumour on the playground is that those who indulge such base pleasures as TV would say there's lots of educational stuff on CBeebies (maths, phonics, science, literature etc)
But obviously my children are reading Ng Chaucer right now, now staring at In The Night Garden...

whatswithtodaytoday · 12/12/2020 18:45

Thankfully at four months she doesn't know what Bing actually is, so you can never put it on again 😁 I hate it too.

Mine loved In the Night Garden from about six months, thankfully on at the same time as I needed to get dinner ready.

Snapcat · 12/12/2020 18:50

Tik Tak on CBeebies.

Spottybluepyjamas · 12/12/2020 18:50

The wiggles!
