Yesterday I got told my 10 week old baby girl has metatarsus adductus and will be in cast after the new year for a few weeks and then wearing the corrective boots with bar for 23hrs a day for 12 weeks and then just for sleeping until she is 4. Anyone else had their little one treated for metatarsus adductus. We are still in a little shock at the moment as we just expected physio. The nurse said it developed from her position in the womb so now I'm hoping I wasn't to blame as I had HG and anemia in pregnancy, could barely eat but still had all the vitamins and did the best I could, but I'm worried incase it affected her development now. I know it's for the best this treatment and she won't know any different as she's so young but I can't help but feel sorry for her and guilty. Hopefully she never needs surgery and her feet are very flexible and she has strong legs and feet. I guess I'm just looking to hear some stories from people that have experienced it.
