How long would you leave a 9.5 year old at home for? If you trusted him not to mess around.

Probably about an hour? I leave my 12 Yr old for 2-3 hours once or twice a week. Think it was about an hour at that age. Saying that he played out for a lot longer with hourly phone check ins.

10 minutes to pop to neighbours maybe.
Too young to be left alone.

I leave my 9 year old in the morning when I drop my younger child at nursery. The nursery is a 5 minute walk (10/15 with 3 year old 🙄) but I drive there so I'm even quicker. It probably takes less than a minute drive. I'm gone about 10 minutes in total by the time nursery opens door to us etc but I do sometimes feel uncomfortable doing it and I've started doing the nursery drop off later or taking her with me.
