Forgot again daughter 6 months nearly 7 she's only had puréed veg till now. But going to start her with a little spoonful off porridge in the mornings. On the back it says water. But I remember with my first it was milk I just can't remember if I used formula or normal milk after 6 months?

Either after 6 months. Cows milk can't be a drink at that point but absolutely fine in food

Agree that cows milk is absolutely fine in food after 6 months.

No need to buy special baby cereals either, they can have normal porridge or ready brek Smile
