Sunken fontanelle

SassyPants87 · 02/12/2020 23:16

DD is 7 weeks old and I've noticed lately she has a sunken fontanelle! This is only when she's upright, when she's horizontal it isn't there anymore. She feeds well and has plenty of wet nappies.

Should I be worried?

Honestly anything to do with fontanelles freaks me out. If youre worried enough to post here. Youre worried enough to get her checked out.

Doctors dont bite. They wont think youre wasting their time and theyd prefer she got seen rathrr than not seen.

I did read that they're all slightly sunken when sat up - gravity! Lying down is the one to watch. Do not take my word for it though and ring the GP.

Thanks, I will give my HV a call just for peace of mind. She's really well in herself otherwise, like I said with plenty of wet nappies

Is she's well I wouldn't worry. Both my kids had slightly sunken ones. I think you need to worry if they're bulging.
