Worried about ds

Ds is 15 weeks. Yesterday he was inconsolable for hours and after trying everything I gave him some calpol thinking he's probably teething. He fell asleep but woke up an hour later sweaty. I thought he had fever but after checking him his temperature was actually low, 35.6.
The room was 22 degrees, he was wearing a vest and babygrow, both very light cotton . Kept monitoring his temperature throughout the night. He slept from 20:30 to 7:30, I had to pick him twice for a dream feed (he never sleeps for more than 3 hours without waking). Today his temperature was between 35.9 and 36.7, kept getting different readings. The thing is, he has been so sleepy. He wouldn't stay awake for more than half an hour without starting to cry and would fall asleep right away once rocked a bit. He's been feeding but I've been feeling very worried all day. Is it teething? A cold? Do you have any advice?

Let me add, I've been reluctant to contact anyone because last time ds had a low temperature the doctor from 111 sent us to A&E, and the doctor and nurses there complained that 111 sends everyone to A&E and we shouldn't have gone. They also didn't do anything

If your worried about an unusually sleepy baby then please don’t feel bad for seeking help.

ChablisandCrisps · 30/11/2020 16:52

If he is difficult to wake and is not waking to feed, he needs to be seen OP

The hospital will br happy to check over such a young baby who is not feeling himself, please do not worry.

Nina9406 · 30/11/2020 16:53

@ChablisandCrisps @Sirzy he will awake but will start crying like I'm annoying him

He could be in pain and uncomfortable so I would definitely get him checked out.

ChablisandCrisps · 30/11/2020 16:55

I know his temp is low, but how does his chest feel? And is it warmer or cooler than his feet??

Nina9406 · 30/11/2020 16:56

@ChablisandCrisps it's a bit cooler than his feet

I agree and think he needs to be seen by someone, something is obviously not right and best not to take any chances with such a young one.

A&E asap. Low temp/sleepiness/agitation could be sepsis

livinlavida · 02/12/2020 19:02

Low temp and hard to wake isn't something to ignore! Get it checked out ASAP

ChablisandCrisps · 04/12/2020 17:46

How is he OP? All is well I hope Flowers

@ChablisandCrisps he's better I think he had his first cold bless him. Every day he's staying up more and is interested in playing again 🥰
