Hi all. I just need abit of advice here.
My kids - aged 15, 11 and 7 are constantly on the Internet (ps4 or on their phones)
If I don't say anything then they will not get off the phone or even worse, not even bother talking to us parents all day.
When they are getting breakfast ready, browsing on phone!
When having breakfast, browsing on phone!

Eating dinner, browsing on phone!

I feel as though we are not having usual parent and child interaction anymore.

Please give me some advice!

Turn the internet off or change the wifi password

Take everything away and give them a detox for a few weeks.

Tell them when it comes back, they need to moderate their own use and not be on too much. Eg come off right away without complaining if they are asked, not be browsing their phone when someone is speaking to you etc. If they don't they get another detox. If you apply the detox to all of them at once (no matter who was responsible), they might learn to stop each other from doing anything wrong and it will be easier to administer (can collect every device / change WiFi password instead of having one kid who isn't allowed, sneak internet on another's device).

If you have a desktop PC you could set it up in the living room where it is easy to see what they're doing for the purposes of schoolwork, so they can't use that as an excuse why they can't do the detox.
