Just wondering if anyone has any ideas of what to do for baby’s 1st birthday in lockdown?!

It’s the end of January and at the moment we are in a tier 3 area. I was originally going to do a party but obviously can’t.

We aren't doing anything special. Don't think we would've done out of lockdown. He hasn't got a clue and it's more for the benefit of the family adults. I know it's not that helpful but don't be disheartened by it. They have no clue.

Give him a bit of cake and postpone celebrations with family until a better time. My DD’s first party was cancelled due to chickenpox. I ended up bringing cake to the park for her and her friends a few weeks later. Best party ever, honestly.

I have this issue next week! Luckily we're going into tier 1 so I can have three other people over (plus DH, DD and me), but of course it's still not the family gathering I had hoped for. Hopefully if you get downgraded to tier 2 you can do a nice small gathering at a park or something. My friends did that earlier this year and it was nice :) If not, I'd do lots of fun things at home as a family then hold a party in the spring
