Toddler Swollen Nasal Passages?

Anyone have the experience of the above?

My son has started snoring all of a sudden. It’s quite scary as it seems like he’s going to stop breathing. He’s struggling to breathe through his nose at night.

I went to the doctor who checked his tonsils and said they look fine. Because he’s totally fine in himself, not even that tired in the morning, no temp or anything, they said his nasal passages are probably swollen.

We are having work done to our house.
Plastering, sanding, dust everywhere.
Doctor think this has probably caused it.

Could this be the cause? If so, how long will his nose return to normal?

It’s over a week now. I thought it might be his adenoids but doctor said he’d have frequent infections or wouldn’t be himself during the day if that was it.

Poor thing, i feel so bad for him having to struggle to breathe through his nose.

Any remedies?

Antihistamine, anti inflammatory? If it's just temporarily caused by dust etc. My dc had infected adenoids and it was very hard to distinguish the symptoms.
