Routine for a 12-week-old?

Is this something we should have by now?

Baby DD is EBF and we co-sleep. We wake up with a feed around 8am, then I change and dress her for the day.

The rest of the day is feed, nap, sit in bouncy chair to play/read, change on repeat - right through to DH and I going to bed around 11pm. I feed her once there, then when she's asleep I move into the spare room as it just works better that way.

She wakes around 2am and 5am for feeds.

It's working for us, but I can't help wondering whether I should try to put her in her Moses basket around 7pm to have a sort of "bedtime" for her.

Reading back, it sounds like we do have a routine - I just wonder if it's good for her to be up with us until 11.

Well tbh at 12 weeks she should still be having all her sleep in the room with you, so your routine seems pretty good! We did the same at that age, except we'd sleep in shifts in the evening cos we had a demon colic baby.

In a month or so it might be nice to start a bedtime routine, bath book bed, before she goes into her cot for the night, and maybe shifting your bedtime a bit earlier - could you start going up to bed at 9.30ish and watching tv in bed or reading for a bit, until she's old enough to be put to bed by herself? Full disclosure, DD went to bed before us from about 4m, but this is against NHS guidelines.

Thank you! We'll try that in a few weeks time.
