Does anyone know of any good cereals to give to a one year old? Anything without too much salt and sugar. We are getting bored with weetabix and porridge.

Shredded wheat

I think regular cheerio type ones aren’t terrible. I think they make an ok snack type thing also to take out and about in a small tub and eat dry

The plain mini shredded wheats or unbranded similar

Kallo puffed rice, Sainsbury’s puffed wheat, Sainsbury’s Little Ones muesli and Nestle’s low sugar version of Cheerios. Also, overnight oats made with natural yogurt and fruit juice or fruit purée.

Ready brek and add chopped banana.

Have you tried a few other things for breakfast like berry pancakes. If you use this recipe I wouldn't bother giving a one year old the syrup, we eat them without syrup anyway Smile

Shredded wheat, shreddies, wheetabix or cornflakes (lidl cornflakes have no added sugar)

My toddler loves bitesize shredded wheat and low sugar Cheerios. She also seems to love Bran flakes too

Seems cherios and shredies are the go. Pancakes sound nice too for a weekend. We also have toast or egg some mornings with varyimg degrees of success. Thanks everyone
