How old is he? Could he have banged it? Bit it accidentally? One of mine once got a bruise on their earlobe, I had no idea how but they were fine. If he's happy enough in himself I wouldn't worry too much just keep an eye on it and maybe take a photo so that you can compare in a few hours or so Smile

Has he had a bottle feed recently? This happened to my DS as a baby (28 years ago) and the teat had sort of folded and he had a blood blister.
I felt awful but it cleared after a few days

Might be worth checking the teat flow.... I have experience of a blocked teat/fighting baby. Mortifying!

Teats for small babies are slow flowing too, you may need to go to a faster flow. Can't remember when that milestone was though.

My wee one gets this when her teeth are giving her pain. She gums down on her lip really hard and bruises it. Really freaked me out the first time I saw it!

Has she been sucking on the bottom lip by any chance? That’s what my baby did at that time and it was nothing to worry about. He’s now 3 and a happy toddler lol. If she’s been okay it could just be she might have sucked her lip to much, as I said that’s what my baby did and he get doing it for a few months aswell hope it helps x
