Ok this isn't strictly a nappy/potty training question in the usual vein but thought this forum was as good a place to post as any seeing as it involves poo!
DD (16 months) has been doing multiple poos a day for the past couple of weeks now. She used to always do one, or at most two poos a day, although this does always go haywire when she is teething.
She cut a tooth 2 weeks ago so did hundreds of poos for a couple of days, then this went back to two for the next couple of days. The last day of teething poos they were quite mucousy, but she did have a bit of a cold so i just thought it was down to that.
Since then she has been pooing every time she eats something or drinks milk, with an additional poo first thing and sometimes a couple of random ones on top of those. I thought it might be another tooth but there are no signs of one, and it is definitely triggered by eating or drinking rather than just pooing at random times. Her diet hasn't changed at all, she is maybe eating slightly larger quantities than before.
The poos are formed but soft (most of it plops off nappy no probs) so I am reluctant to contact the doctor at this stage as surely if it was a bug they would be more diarrhoea-ey, also she doesn't seem ill at all.
Anyone else experienced something like this or have any ideas??
