8 week old not sleeping long?!

So, my 8 week old is not the best at sleeping. She roughly will only sleep 30-45 minutes during the day and a maximum of 2 hours at night? Everywhere I look online says they should be starting to sleep longer at night now but it seems to have stayed the same for me for weeks? Also, actually getting her to sleep takes a long time, she will easily fall asleep if I’m holding her (and then obviously wake up as soon as I put her down) but trying to get her to fall to sleep on her own takes such a long time! Any tips/help??

She sounds like a perfectly normal little baby. Try not to stress over what others say she should be doing and enjoy this time with her.

If she will only sleep in your arms I the day, I'd watch some no sets and put your feet up Smile

Very, very normal.

Sounds normal to me too.

Let her sleep on you then. She’s only tiny still.

Is she active in the day? My DD2 is also 8 weeks and currently kicking the crap out of her play gym. She also gets fresh air when on the school run for DD1.

My DD also doesn’t like being put down but I enjoy the cuddles so don’t mind. We also co-sleep at night.
