Viral or allergy

I will contact GP if I am concerned but at the moment......
DS has had a cold about about 2.5 weeks and just after it started he developed a rash which looked like your standard viral rash. He still has a cold which just doesn’t seem to be shifting and the rash has changed. I’m wondering if it’s an allergy/eczema rather than an actual cold? He is super grumpy too and constantly clawing at his face.
What do you think?

I would say that looks like a post-viral rash to me and not eczema. As long as he is otherwise well enough, I wouldn't worry about it. It will go away eventually.
