I have a 3 year old ( nearly 4) daughter who has ASD. She has been talking for approximately the last year, her speech isn't perfect but I can understand 70 percent of what she says. She goes to daycare 5 days a week and she won't really talk at all there perhaps a few words or sentences during the day.

The teachers assume she can't talk. We are trying to explain to them that it's a confidence/anxiety issue (because her language isn't perfect) and no one believes us. They treat our daughter different because they assume she doesn't understand and don't include her as much. She currently has speech therapy. Does anyone have any advice for improving her confidence and anxiety or ideas to use at daycare to encourage her to talk more there?

Thanks for listening
